Pie chart
Parts of one total.
Each slice is a share of one total. DataInk computes percentages that always add up to 100% and writes them inside or outside the slices.

Editorial guide
When to use it
Typical use
Up to five or six parts of a single total, such as a budget, a market or a sample.
Better avoided
Many small slices or comparisons between several pies: use bars, which are easier to compare.
Layout tips
- Start the largest slice at 12 o'clock and go clockwise.
- Group small items into Other.
- Use the outline to separate slices of similar colours.
